Privacy
LastPrice Ltd is the data controller. This page describes what we collect, why, and what we do not do. Ghana’s Data Protection Act (Act 843, 2012) applies.
What we collect
- Your phone number. It is how you sign in, how we tell you about your order, and how we confirm an order is yours.
- Where to deliver — the area, the directions you write, and a GhanaPost GPS code if you give one.
- A location pin, only if you tap to share one. It is never taken automatically and never tracked over time — we ask your phone once, when you press the button, and store that single point so the rider can find the door. You can remove it before placing the order, and the delivery works without it.
- Your orders — what you bought, when, and for how much.
- A payment reference if you pay by mobile money transfer, and any receipt you choose to upload.
We do not ask for your email address, and we never see or store your mobile money PIN. We take no card payments, so there is no card number for us to hold.
Why we keep it
To deliver what you ordered, to let you find the order again, and to keep the accounting records a business is required to keep. That is the whole list.
Who else sees it
- The person delivering to you gets your name, address and phone number, because otherwise they cannot find you.
- Our supplier is told which item to prepare. They are not given your name, number or address.
- Our payment and SMS providers process what they need to move money and deliver a message.
- Telegram carries the alert that tells us an order has come in. That alert includes your phone number, so we can call you about the delivery. It does not include your name or address.
We do not sell your data, and we do not send marketing messages you did not ask for.
Advertising and cookies
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram, and to see whether those adverts actually lead to orders we use the Meta Pixel. It records that a page was viewed, that an item was added to a basket, and that an order was placed, together with the value of the order. Meta sets a cookie and receives your IP address and the address of the page you are on, as it does on most shops you visit.
We do not send Meta your phone number, your name, your address or your location. Meta offers a way to match customers by those details and we have deliberately not switched it on. What Meta is told about an order is the reference, the value of the goods, and which items were in it.
We also use Google Analytics to see how the shop itself is used — which pages people open, what they search for, and where they leave. It sets a cookie and receives your IP address and the address of the page you are on. It is not given your phone number, your name, your address or your location, and it is not used to advertise to you.
You can stop either of these in your browser settings or with any content blocker, and the shop works normally without them — nothing about buying, tracking an order or getting a delivery depends on them.
Our logs
Server logs are scrubbed of personal data before they are written — phone numbers, addresses, location pins, one-time codes and payment details are redacted at source rather than trusted to be left out. A one-time code in a log file is a way into someone’s account, so it is treated as one.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Uploaded payment receipts are kept while the payment is being matched and for the period a dispute could still be raised.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Contact us and we will act within a reasonable time.
